本州、四国及び九州に分布する。枯れた植物や堆葉層に生息するが、詳しい生態は不明。恐らく食菌性。通常短翅型だが、稀に長翅型が見られる。オスは未知。

This species is distributed in Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. It inhabits dead plants and forest litter, and may be a fungus-feeder, but its detailed ecology is unknown. It is usually microptera, but rarely macroptera. The male is unknown.
